Maple Syrup Gingerbread

YOU WILL NEED

135g Butter

135g Dark soft brown sugar

20g Liquid glucose

135g Maple Syrup

25g Milk

375g Flour, soft

4 Baking soda, bicarbonate

6 Cinnamon powder

6 Ginger, ground

1 pinch Ground Cloves

HOW TO MAKE

  1. Melt butter, sugar, maple syrup and milk together

  2. Add dry ingredients and mix well

  3. Pour into an oiled tray to cool

  4. When completely cool roll out to approx. 4-6 mm and cut out with cutter

  5. Place on a baking tray lined with greaseproof and bake at 185°C until lightly coloured

  6. Cool completely before decorating with royal icing or chocolate
